I'm disgusted about E*trade. There was a lot of confusion last week when site went down. They said I "bought" 900 shares PER. Nothing in my portfolio until yesterday when 300 shares PER long magically appeared some 7 days after the fact! They won't take it off. So I guess I kiss about $5,000 goodbye! What the heck recourse do we have! I've lost about $40,000 in last 3 months trying to use E*trade's infrastructure.
When it's in their favor the system works like gangbusters. When it's in my favor the system seems to "break down."
I had 63K invested when their sitre went down. I thought I was driving down the Interstate at 80 and someone threw a blanket over my windshield. I didn't know where I'd been, where I was going or what I was going to hit.
A lawsuit would be too good for these guys. Is Datek any better? That's my next choice.
