Mohan re: CHINA,

Last Sunday I connected with a very close old buddy of mine who I lost track of in '83 and through the wonders of e-mail we are now catching up on a lot of lost years. He is still working for American Bechtel but they are now in Southern China and have been for the last few years. When I mentioned to him my interest in companies in China and especially DELL he replied,

"You are headed in the right direction if you are investing in companies that are looking to China for further growth. There is so much potential here and it is one of the last potential frontiers for economic expansion. A lot of the big companies are setting up here...Motorola, Proctor and Gamble and many more. The labor cost and tax rate are big incentives. The infrastructure expansion here is out of this world. The Asian economic situation has had it's effect, but it still continues to grow. Speaking of DELL Computer, I think you have made a good choice. Bechtel and P&G have made DELL the computer of choice and are dumping Compaq. All the hands that bring company computers from the States all have DELL, and we will be using them on-site here. When I was up north in Tianjin you could really see the growth in this country."

Now I could not remember the exact location of the DELL plant in China, but I found it out today, and I will be letting him know it. If anyone can find out more info on it, he's the guy. I will keep you updated.
