Malcolm, I recall reading about one or two years ago that there was going to be many mergers and buyouts in this industry. The reason was not to sell eye glasses but to sell customers on the latest eye treatment such as lasar. These 10 minute computer simple operations allow many people to see again without glasses. Cost is approximately $1500 plus for each eye. Really have not followed this industry so I don't know if that prediction came true.
