TORONTO, Feb. 11 /CNW/ - Executives and employees of Delicious
Alternative Desserts, Ltd. (ASE Symbol ''DD'') cheered as the first
Canadian-made tub of Ben & Jerry's(R) Super Premium Ice Cream rolled
off its production lines. D.A.D.'s, which secured the license to distribute the
Vermont-based Ben & Jerry's(R) products in May of 1998, is producing the
super-premium brand at its manufacturing facility in Stoney Creek Ontario.
''It's taken $10 million and more than six months of plant renovation
time to get to this point,'' remarked Robert C. Harrison, D.A.D.'s President
and C.E.O. ''and we're ecstatic Ben & Jerry's(R) ice cream is now being
manufactured right here in Canada.''
