I just programmed my home page to AltaVista. Now when I
boot-up, A/V gets one more hit and with any luck more valuable.

If everyone in this and the Yahoo threads did the same, there's
no telling how much Compaq could make on a future A/V transaction?

Currently A/V is in 10th position among the most popular web
sites I believe. #1 wouldn't be so bad, now would it?

Wishful thinking, but whose to say it couldn't happen.
