I don't claim to be a know-it-all on FORE or would-be acquirers, but it'll most likely be much later in the year before anything materializes with a FORE acquisition, if at all. Here's my reasoning.

If FORE wanted to be taken out anywhere near these levels, most certainly they could've already had a done deal. However, it's in the shareholder's and management's interest to build FORE's value as much as they think they reasonably can before any consolidation wave in the industry forces their hand --very similar to Ciena's (CIEN - Nasdaq) situation.

My take is that FORE will be solidly in the 20's before anything solidifies in the way of merger activity this year, if at all.
