I just bought an HP 8100 CD writer, recording cd-r's take 45 mins to 1 hr to record. It works OK. Rewriteable cds our too slow in accessing large files like my Quickbooks. The main reason I bought the HP CD recorder is to make audio cd's. I backup on floppy, Zip and cd-r. I've have three internal Zip drive . I've had them for years, use them daily and have not any problems. I bought a refurbished Jaz 1 and year ago and use it daily for downloading MP3 and have not had any problems. I think Iomega products work great and their fast. Everyone I know has at least a Zip drive . Iomega has got there quality control act together now.
Rocky, Iomega will be the leader in removable drive and media for years to come!!!
Still holding my IOM!!!
