FAIRY SLIPPER ORCHID

Orchidaceae Calypso bulbosa - grows in the forest behind my home. Pinkish flowers 1 inch across with 3 sepals, 3petals and the middle petal resembles a delicate slipper. Plant has one single broad leaf at the base. It grows in the dense shade of the high alpine regions of Colorado. Very, very rare and never been successfully collected into propagation.

Hmmmm. Reminds me of an elusive woman I once knew. Best to view but not to hold. I have seen this flower and there are none more beautiful to behold.

I wish we would all remember while we are talking of making our fortunes off of ENMD that this company is investing in the future of man and woman. My grandfather died of cancer to early. My mother suffered from cancer as a young woman and thanks to the surgical skill of a great physician found her cure. This drug may change the future of one of us or more. Lets hope they are right and that we may all benefit from their devotion to their work.

That is what is real.
