I already told you, in a previous post, that my wife is an executive in Washington, D.C., and that since I was a writer, we agreed I would stay home and care for our son. She makes more money than I do, by the way. In any case, the character was written to be a bitch. That was her personality, and the premise of much of the comedy. Do you deny that she was scheming, egocentric, and vindictive?
I don't much care about the VP at the software company, and it had nothing to do with my reference to Murphy as a bitch. In fact, I didn't much care about the Murphy Brown debate, except that it publicized the problem with single parent households. I personally was relieved that Murphy didn't have an abortion. |
