I don't own a portable. But of all the tiny baby computers I've seen the e-Mate was the one I thought I'd like to own. No handwriting recognition hassles. A keyboard for short note writing. Fast, basic, durable and small.

You say you sold them out quickly. Why do you suppose Apple discontinued them?
