Finally signs of intelligent life on this thread!!!! HOORAY! Thanks for the intelligent response and opportunity to debate....I will respond in the morning since I am going to bed right now...past 1 am EST...my time Just one note...Chinese Communism was and never has been tantamount to what was considered communism in the West... China is NOT an open and free society in any way similar to the United States....whether you call it "non-democratic", totalitarian, "communist",paternalistic, Confucian or feudal...China has no history of "democrasy" and free speech....and therefore open and free access to information is a threat to order and bureacrasy...And China has been quite adept at bureacrasy for over a thousand years. Many also still wonder how and what will happen with Hong Kong and Hong Kong's free markets now that is once again part of the "mother" country....Many investors TOOK their money and RAN prior to this 1997 re-unification Also, finally remember that a large and strenuous objection to the the MFN Status was due to China's human rights abuses partly in regards to Tibet and the labor camps... I'll address many of your other points tomorrow. z
