WHY do you and others on Yahoo persist in creating high expectations regarding specific name brands, ie EMC? Management has gone on the public record stating their high confidence level in spades in the last cc and went even further in driving that point home in today's call. Does anyone doubt Ken Hendrickson's public statements, particularly when they just settled a class action shareholder lawsuit?? Do people think he's that stupid to go on record today without KNOWING that he has an Ace or 2 in the hole??? Not to mention the recent efforts to put Ancor on the radar screens of institutions in Boston and NYC.

Since last call, they have delivered by closing 4 new OEMs , of which 2 ( Prisa, Jaycor ) previously used competitors product. My understanding is that the code names for Green and Purple used by Asic_1 do NOT refer to EMC but 2 other highly visible Tier 1 players. I'll leave it at that. The fact that Ancor was part of the EMC FibreAlliance is a reflection that the software changes required by EMC was an easy 1 day job for Ancor to comply due to their open standards architecture. While I will not rule out EMC as an OEM candidate, my take on that situation is it is very complicated because any switch vendor has a delicate tightrope to walk due to the conflicting ownership situation of McData ( EMC owns 100% of McData but supposedly runs it as an independent company with its own BOD )and the close reseller partnership with HWP.

I would not be surprised to see 1-3 major OEM announcements within the next 1-30 days. Where the stock price goes before or after these OEM decisions become public knowledge is anyone's guess. Today's trading looks like it was dictated by the TA crowd.
