I have the same question as you regarding the big gap of XLNX and
ALTR. Just buy PUT on xlnx and call on altr as gap widen. Eventually,
this gap will closed up after Q1 as for two reason

1) Assumtion of xlnx take taking maket share CPLD of altr unfound
2) the lost profit of tsmc joint venture waferfab diminish and break
even by mid-year that Rod Smith mention today
