Just perused about 50 DELL posts since the CNBC report on DELL and found that:

1) There is general dis-believement (we at CPQ felt the same about 1 yr ago and were wrong ... the initial reports were correct)

2) There is a general fear factor among the posters although some have gained enough over time to be comfortable rather than panicy

3) Some are shorting

4) Others are selling and going to buy CPQ

5) VICTORIA GATE, MD posted "DELL WILL NOT BE THE SAME" ... translated via decoder it means "SELL"

Lynn, I feel real GOOD about CPQ's UPside prospects here for basicaly 2 reasons (1) CPQ is effectively and efficiently implementing its plan --- this shows the biggies that CPQ management CAN execute and CAN be believer again, and (2) Some DELL monies will be coming over to CPQ.

But then again time will tell and what do I know ?

BTW, I feel great about CPQ prospects ... I don't feel good for the DELL-heads and am not happy about their turn-of-events but they will survive and do well.
