Latitude Minerals Corp. has completed staking of an additional 64 claims
surrounding the recently-acquired Pan gold deposit within the prolific
Battle Mountain-Eureka Gold Trend in eastern Nevada. The staking was
performed in an effort to cover ground deemed prospective on the down dip
portion of the orebody where gold mineralization was encountered in
drilling to the edge of the original 31-claim core block. The newly
acquired claims adequately cover numerous down dip gold occurrences and
open-ended gold intercepts at the block's edge. Furthermore, the ground was
staked with the intent of developing room for a pit and possible pit
extension, should additional ounces of gold be developed. The Pan gold
deposit is planned as an open pit oxide deposit currently containing over
250,000 ounces of heap leachable gold.
The company plans to proceed with its preliminary scoping study consisting
of Vulcan block modelling and starting permits for a 40-hole drill program
consisting of stepout and infill targets. Drilling will proceed as soon as
permitting is completed. The company plans to move the deposit toward a
positive feasibility study in a timely fashion.
