Don, I can understand that, but you have to remember that right and wrong are often a matter of perspective. forgetting all else in the name of wrong and right is a risky proposition. the concept of right and wrong changes over time according to society, taste, and many factors. right and Wrong as it pertains to the bible is TOTALLY a matter of perspective.
Even amongst Christians, how the Bible is treated is totally a matter of perpective. Just look at this thread as an example. then take into account that regardless of the beliefs of this thread, there is no more proof that the bible is correct than there is any other holy text.( I dont want to get into a drawn out argument over "proof", or even make this the focal point of my response) the Muslim, Hindu, bhuddist, taoist, believes just as fervently and is just as sure that their beliefs are the "correct" one.
Right and wrong can be a very dangerous thing to presume, as there will almost always be a a different perspective in which the perceived "right" can be viewed as wrong. Slavery, child sex, murder, and torture, have alll been viewed as right at some points in some cultures. some of those things have even been viewed as "godly".
