Dear e-Players!

It was fun and interesting guessing with you.
The game was a truly global one.
The high was 350 carats and the low just 1 carat.

Well, January 1999 was a month when the South African mines did not
produce exceptionally large stones. The largest diamond was a 22.96
carats, white stone of maccle shape, bid in South Africa at 1350
USD/carat and sold in Antwerp for 1400 USD/carat or 32.144 USD.

Congratulations, we have two lucky winners, both of you will receive a
one-carat rough diamond from our January production!

* Dominique Reyniers from Reet, Belgium guessed a stone of 22.50
carats.

Miss Reyniers' boyfriend has asked Rex to polish her diamond and
set it in a white gold ring. Is a proposition in the wings? Please let
us know!

* Hannu Helo from Bangkok, Thailand guessed a stone of 23.43
carats
What about you?

Happy Valentine and thanks for playing Rex! Antwerp, 12 February
1999
