To All, 1. I bought more puts on Freddie Mac today. This is a trade, as I sold my third earlier in the week. There is no big investment insight to either of these trades. I thought it was oversold short term and sold my third. Now, it is overbought, and I'm baaaaaack in the govt. hedge fund.
2. I also bought more puts on Solectron, this time April 70s. It is way up from the first third and I wanted to play it bigger. Unlike many of my put cos, SLR is a good firm with a lot of smart people running it. However, fierce competition in pc boxes and telecom is going to mean sqeezes on their margins. The stock sells like it is 1994 and tech is still seeing increasing growth rates. Not happening and I hope the stock won't be happening.
