Gary, Dell has only 8% share of the computer market. As they say, " there is always room at the top" AND plenty of room to grow. Compaq said 1 year ago they were going to "migrate" to the direct sales model. But hey that's just a tiny step. All these folks are just starting and Dell has a giant lead. Gateway's bus model is like Dell's and 4 years ago they were closer in valuations and yet Dell is now way far ahead, Why? I think it has to do with management and execution. What all the other boxmaker REALLY need to compete with Dell is find a Michael Dell clone to run their company, IMHO, TA
