I use ICQ myself - I communicate with people all the time using it. Here is how I think ICQ would work well here:

It is not just chat software - you can send instant messages and you will be alerted by a flashing message icon in the lower right corner of your monitor and/or a sound from your speakers. Then you check the messages. Not only that, but instant messages can be sent to multiple people at the same time.

ICQ is quite good for alerts to sells and covers, like:

USAT <--------------UNBELIEVEABLE POS SELL AT ANY PRICE

or

SATH <-------------PURE CRAPPP!!! SELL SHORT@28

or whatever. It is also good to post these here too, but the typing would surely drive Anthony crazy in a chat format. ICQ is best used for these alerts, but all other info should be on the message board. I think that is the best solution available. For a live chat, we would all have to be glued to that screen or we would all miss a lot - god forbid you have to go to the bathroom! There would have to be strict rules about what can be sent on ICQ or else it would get really cluttered. I personally think it should be strictly trade alerts - and we should all try our VERY BEST not to respond to Anthony in ICQ or else he will be assaulted by messages and he will surely get fed up with that quickly. Maybe responses to Anthony should be limited to PM style messages that give further DD to a situation, but there should be no responses like, "How many do you think I should short?" or "Should I hold overnight?" etc. Of course the rules are up to him - Hell - he may not even be interested at all!

For more info, go to www.icq.com and download ICQ ("I seek you")
It is only 1.5MB in size and is free. Everyone using ICQ is identified by a number. It will take you only a few minutes to figure out the software.

What are people's thoughts?
