ITU IPR discussions:

itu.int

The piece from the Japanese is especially interesting since it shows that there are a lot of items on which TIA (i.e. CDMAOne proponents) and the ARIB have compromised (modulation schemes etc.). On the topic of chip rate the committee said a move to 3.68 is "No fatal impact". And on the topic of synchronization the committee says the TIA is going to propose a variety of ways in which to do such synch without GPS.
