It's not an exact science, but basically the MM will do whatever they need to so they'll get shares cheap and frighten out some folks at prices that are too low. When volume is low like this, they create their own fun. Just remember that low volume favors the MMs, and high volume probably favors them too, but maybe not as much. Sometimes they get screwed if price runs up and they are selling shares they don't have. They, like us, have to cover their shorts eventually.

Bottomline, don't read too much into action on low volume, if you believe, as I do, that BANY is undervalued by at least a factor of two, then things will work out eventually if you let them.
