It might be due to the weakness of the whole sector, lead by Intel.
Another semi small cap I follow, FSII, also down big today.

One thing interesting is that AMAT got upgraded and up 3 and change.

BTW, what do you mean you like the general chart pattern? "big volume on up days; lighter volume on down days.." and today is?

My chart told me that CMOS might want to test its 200 MA, which is around 17.5.

I don't have any positions in this stock.
