That's it, folks!!!!

It has been a long, drawn-out impeachment season. It sure is heartening to know that finally the Senate reached the verdict that an overwhelming majority of Americans had reached many, many months before, which is -- not to convict and remove the President from office.

My sincere thanks to Daniel, Michelle and many others who relentlessly fought on this thread on behalf of the forces of fairness, forgiveness and pragmatism, and against the evil forces of hatred, bigotry and hypocrisy. I thank you all and wish you all the very best.

On a final note, I would like to excerpt from a post that I made earlier in the day...

"...[I]t is only fitting that this happened on President Lincoln's birthday. The grand old man will be very pleased to know that the attempts to assassinate one of his successor Presidents were foiled today! What a great birthday gift to good ol' Abe!

To those of us who are in Washington and its environs -- I request you to please take time to visit the Lincoln Memorial, kneel down and pay your respects to the giant. And don't forget to express your gratitude that even though President Lincoln is gone for more than a hundred years, his spirit is still around and that is what protected us and our country from being run over by the moral midgets of today..."

Thank you all very much and wishing you all a very happy President's Day weekend -- a President's Day made all the more solemn and all the more worthy of being cherished, by the realization of how close we came to losing our very system of governance, before sanity ultimately prevailed.

Goodbye, folks! Best wishes and best of luck to you all!
