A cautionary tale:

There was a case here in the US where a person kept "slamming" a stock in chat rooms to the point that the company took action. The "internet sleuths" (whoever they are) finally were able to identify the poster and the company sued him in court. Turns out he was a former disgruntled employee. I don't know all the details, happened a couple of months ago. The part that intrigued me about it(other than the long arm of the law reaching out) was that whoever we are we can be discovered and identified. The man did take precautions to disguise himself, using false ID and such and was still discovered.
