It will be interesting to see how the Senate and House Democrats deal with Clinton going forward. Now that he is out of political jeopardy and the national fascination with the Clinton soap opera diminishes, it is a very real possibility that his poll numbers will decline.

It was solely the "public job approval" polls that emboldened the dems to defend the indefensible, and vote not guilty for the "reprehensible" and "dishonorable". While Clinton is no doubt politically adroit, something tells me that he does his best when in "fight or flight" mode, he's won the battle but the outcome of the war is still undecided. I wonder that if that after this, and the inevitable let down that will occur with his "victory", the fire in the belly will be gone.....How will he do, stripped of his "victim" status? I suppose folks will have to take a long, hard look at what he wants to pass off as leadership and decide whether or not he was really worth it.
