Sam: Here's what's unforgivable about the "ASAP" bug in Q99 -- It worked just fine in Q98 and they screwed it up in the "improved" version. Then -- despite the fact that this is easy to fix and affects the core functionality of the program -- they FAIL to fix it despite THREE patches.

I didn't mention this before, but their "support" staff is handing out different stories. I was initially told that this was a "known problem" but that there was NO date set for fixing it. Then I was told that the latest patch had addressed the problem, which turned out to be totally false.

As for the "update everything" function -- I thought it would be nice but it turned out to be a massive pain in the patoot to use. The first time you run into a server that is not responding (and Datek's Quicken support is totally useless) the system just gets stuck, rather than going on and updating whatever CAN be updated. Very annoying. I find it easier to go through manually and update my accounts one at a time.

Basically I consider Q99 a step BACK in quality and functionality. They had a good product, and they broke it.
