That would be awesome, but they'd have to successfully transition to 0.18 by September/October to pull it off. Makes you wonder if the 0.18 transition is going ahead of schedule like Intel's (so they claim). But I don't think AMD can sell K7 chips for $500 until they have 30% market share. I expect that in 2000. By the end of the year the ASP on the K7 will be equal to the Pentium III 600, probably about $400.
