New Ricoh 2.3 Megapixel Digicam-- No Flop! drive

Well, the latest in the digital camera product rollouts is the brand new Ricoh RDC-5000. It has no Iomega Flop! drive.

steves-digicams.com

The Ricoh RDC-5000 will come with 8MB Smartmedia, and can handle the new 32MB Smartmedia cards too. It looks like it will retail for $799. Digital cameras are not falling in price. New models are replacing discontinued ones at the same price points, exactly like I said they would.

All these brand new Digicams from Ricoh, Fuji, Agfa, Kodak (the list goes on and on), and still no Iomega Flop! What an embarassment. With the PMA convention starting in only a week, no Flop! drive cameras have been announced. No wonder a lot of Iomaniacs here are getting angry and restless these days, and would rather not talk about Iomega! But through all of this, IOM still just goes down and down.

And down.
