Ken--Your right. y2k is not a partisan issue. But, I have that baaad feeling that it will soon become one. (Vague recollections of Newt Gingrich comments about using y2k to...?)

Here is an interesting exchange between two poster on csy2k. (flw is a trial lawyer.)

As I have stated in previous posts the handwriting is on the wall.

As started by Colorado which is proposing legislation to immunize debtors
from post Y2K debts, this will ultimately be the law of the land.

For anyone to believe that there will millions of Y2K lawsuits post Y2K is
not
dealing with reality.

The Federal Government and the States will provide a "Global Settlement" and
statutory immunity regarding all Y2K failures. The alternative would be a
massive
choke of the national economy with millions unemployed and no capital to
restart
the economy.

This is the Big Secret that all the major corporations and governmental
agencies
assume. This is the unspoken reason why Fix On Failure is ultimately the
solution of
choice and why remediation is a Trojan Horse.
