Yes, I have also heard the 10 year number bandied about by TLS personnel. In the case of their multiple, low frequency technology, battery life has been less of a sale determining factor. Their challenges have to be RF tuning, plastics and strategically stringing all those "wireless" antennae.

It seems to me that ESL technology will be quite different down the road. A cheap ESL with a 10 year battery might be less appealing than a real cheap ESL with a 5 year battery. I trust that the engineer and MBA types have considered this as a way to pierce the cost resistance and penetrate the market.

To really take off, ESL shelf units have to be almost as disposable as BIC lighters and Gillette razor blades. Now, that would get the Grocer's attention.

I see that Pricer has completed their soul searching and found a "new" direction to run.

It appears that they are leaving the grocery shelves to TLS and being recapitalized with rights. I wonder if ERSI has considered using some of their "stash of cash" to pick up Intactix. That would certainly change the lay of the land.

I take it from Philip's Yahoo! comments that we also might be in for a rights offering and/or private placement. Given the dismal share price, a private placement almost seems like a reward for bad behaviour! I guess I shouldn't be so negative but that is difficult when one considers the time, money and effort that has evaporated over the years. I am happy that they are still in the game which I find totally amazing given that it has been 1 1/2 years since their last significant order.

Have you heard anything about the form of new equity?

Have a nice and peaceful celebration of George's Birthday and a Happy, Prosperous Year of the Hare.

ps The good news is the price of paper seems to be going up, up, up!
