Letter to shareholders............ This letter (reprinted here with co. consent) was sent out recently to shareholders. <<Dear Stockholder, I am writing to you to let you know that the company has taken another step forward in its effort to become successful. On Friday, February 5, 1999, HST signed an agreement granting an exclusive license for the "view once"technology. This agreement will license the technology for a period of 5 years. In exchange for this right, HST will receive more than $400,000 for the first year, including funds to complete the development of the product as well as any royalties realized. HST will receive a continuing royalty stream for the following 4 years. The "view once" technology allows a CD or DVD to be viewed for a fixed period before becoming unreadable. This has applications in the movie and game rental businesses, as it will be no longer necessary to return the movie (or game) after it is viewed. Other applications will be developed for this technology. This agreement validates the company and its technology and will allow the joint development of products that can be used by the company for other market segments. This relationship will be based upon working together to get the "view once" technology ready for market. Both companies are looking forward to an excellent working relationship and hope to have the product ready for market by the fourth quarter of 1999.
