I have posted here previously under the name dstandish. My membership lapsed and I just re-upped. I couldn't pass up posting my enthusiasm for the tone of the CC. A point Lev made that I don't recall has been made is that they are working with several major repackagers and are doing so "very successfully." I think he came as close as he could to saying the ink was almost on the dotted line. His casualness regarding the need for money in just over six weeks and his statement that they are working on getting the stock price higher "without hype" by that time gives a pretty good clue that we are very very close to commercial distribution. I'm sure he is as aware as are we that it is going to take an announcement of a deal with a customer to get the price significantly higher "without hype."

Here are the points that should send the price higher even without an announcement:

1. No one else is in the game for bigger batteries. They are the only ones who can make a battery big enough for a notebook computer. We have covered the potential of that market thoroughly on this thread.

2. The two Japanese companies who have announced a product can only make a cobalt type, with lower energy density, at a "fraction" of the production rate of Valence. "They must be selling their batteries to countries who don't have many lawyers."

3. The announcements made so far indicate Valence patents are being infringed. As soon as they try to sell their batteries Valence will turn their lawyers loose on them.

4. They have the capacity to sell "very large" quantities of laminate but don't know whether or not they will sell to competitors.

5. Their technology, which has them at the head of the pack, is very well protected by patents.

6. Rate of cell or battery production the same. Presently can make 4 big batteries a minute and 25 small. Actually running at only 10 a minute for small but can speed it up when needed. Running only an hour or two at a time right now. Sounds like the people are in place to crank it up as soon as the orders are placed.

7. Re CFO. "Hope I am arriving at the end of the search." Sounds like he has his person. Just not going to announce it until he or she is on the job.

8. Major houses represented in the question portion.

9. Darkgreen hasn't posted yet. Actually, I hope he does because he will expose himself as a total fool if he tries to find something negative in the CC. I'm doubtful he even listened in.
