To all. Think before selling..TAXES!!! Read on..
The only mistake I have made with Dell since first buying it is selling it. I'm still working on 1998 taxes and am sick at the 2 or 3 times I sold. Each time, I later bought back when sentiment improved after the sell-off. So now I have about the same number of shares but am faced with paying taxes on the gains on this tax return. The same thing is happening again. You know how it is...the next thing you know all is O.K., and you're sitting there looking like a big Lolly-Pop after selling. Walmart has over 9 billion shares, and someday in the next few years so will Dell. So rather than give Uncle Sam between 15% and 33% of your Dell, consider holding on. The tax loss is guaranteed...and you'll feel it indefinitely. SO LONG. Mike
