Paul, I have been adding to my LEAPS on Informix. I think there are several reasons for weakness in the database co. in general and Informix in particular:
1) Softness in sales, mainly in Europe;
2) Microsoft SQL server is eating in to ORCL and IFMX market share at low end - or just the fear of it;
3) Stronger dollar is cutting in to the top line and bottom line.
4) Key employee defections at Informix ad the fear that more will follow;
4) Currently Informix lacks big institutional support enjoyed by Oracle. I think Fidelity owns zero shares of Informix.
Despite all these, I am opimistic about Informix future which I think is bright due to the new Universal server. If the stock dips another 15%, which I doubt, I am adding more.

I am pressed for time lately and hence I am not able to check many things out. I currently have no interest in Dell. I own puts on Gateway, though. I am hoping that tomorrow will bring some serious correction to the market.
Regards.
-Mohan
