Hello Sun...a few questions. Regarding NVDA and lawsuit against bigger companies...How is TDFX bigger than NVDA? SIII?
You state that, "Generally, he who occupies the field of battle first and awaits his enemy is at ease; he who comes later to the scene and rushes into the fight is weary." The OEM market is the field of battle. NVDA was there first, though STBI was there as well. I don't know who gets the advantage. And lets not forget that on the field of battle, the slick and crafty carry an advantage over the honorable. My opinion: NVDA is a VERY credible threat. Compare their old Edge part to the TNT and I'd say they have capable engineers. We know about the marketing department, and we know that Dell loves 'em. DO NOT sell them short...(whoops...just read that again...Don't sell the company short...It's just fine by me if you want to sell the stock short-when you can :) Which ought to make somebody big money soon, cause they just ain't worth 600million
As for the new marketing plan, i guess that they will have the 2000,3000,3500,4000....lots of product, they'll get a bit more shelf space, hit different price points....yeah, yeah, yeah...but are we really putting out the same chip on 3 boards at 143, 166, and 183 mhz? I hope there is more to differentiate the cards from one another.
BTW- how'd you do on CD? Talk about an unfair beating...earnings seem fine by me...as for their complete mismanagement of...well, everything resulting in charges...I thought we already knew about that? *sigh* |
