Thanks all for your excellent response

For some reason this thread is difficult to sustain.

I went to one of Wade Cook's seminars last night. (I used to hear him on Real Estate about 18 years ago).....he's very entertaining.

As you probably know, he's got lots of people interested in options.

Does anyone have a feel for these two conjectural questions?
1. What would happen to the stock market in general, and to the options market in specific...if all of a sudden, there were, say, 2,000,000 new people trading????
2. Could this phenomenon......everyone now knowing more, better information, the Net, options familiarity....in any way explain the recent volatility in the market. (Nasdaq up 4% yesterday, down 3.5% today...) ???
