Thanks Doug, its a good article.

I have to agree that the person who thought that a 50% return on his Overall portfolio is not thinking realistically. In my opinion, a well balanced portfolio is definitely the way to go. I haven't been getting near that type of return on some of my core CDN holdings - However on others, such as Bombardier B and CanWest Global, I have done very well. One of my core U.S. stocks - SunMicrosystems has provided us with fabulous returns, and I expect it to continue to do so for years to come.

We have about 20% of our money in Money Market funds. Mainly to be ready to buy the good stocks when they come down to bargain basement prices.

I do have - what I consider to be - good positions in aggressive growth stocks such as BII, BIT on the Alberta Stock Exchange, and some others. I fully expect that these stocks will provide a nice bump in our portfolio's overall returns. (Actually I mean that we could see returns that would fill Scrooge McDuck's vault). OOOps sorry, yes that was a bit of a hype, and I apologize but its getting late and I'm tired.

Thanks again - good article. Sorry for the hype.
