Right now Dell is offering a PC for $1299 in the latest issue of PC World. That $1299 includes a 17" monitor. Dell must be paying close to $200 for that monitor. Subtract that out and Dell is selling the system for about $1100. Less than a year ago, the bulls on this thread were saying Dell would NEVER play in the sub-$1000 space. Looks like Dell is getting pretty close to me....
