A good indication of the liquidity of a given stock is how long an order takes to get filled at the current offer price and at the given ask size. I wanted to test this situation, so I placed a market order for 5,000 shares yesterday. It took me almost half an hour to get filled. Their are no shares available in the float and it could possibly be negative.
