Programmer's Paradise Expects To Triple 1st-Quarter Internet Sales

SHREWSBURY, N.J. -(Dow Jones)- Programmer's Paradise Inc., a direct
marketer of software, Friday said it has high expectations for
first-quarter revenue.
Programmer's Paradise (PROG) said it expects its latest first quarter
Internet sales to show a 205% increase from a year ago. The company said
first-quarter sales from its World Wide Web store rose 43% from the
fourth quarter.
Programmer's Paradise said it formed an alliance with United News &
Media PLC's (UNEWY) Miller Freeman Inc. unit to launch a co-branded
store of software development related products on Miller's Dr. Dobbs
Journal website, apublication for professional software developers.
Programmer's Paradise said it also agreed to add TechBooks Paradise
to a new section on its website that will include computer-related
books, interactive media, videos and other reference materials for
technology professionals.
