STARFIELD RESOURCES INC ("SRV-Y") - Results From Abe Property

Glen Indra, President of Starfield Resources inc. is pleased to announce that the 1998 exploration
program on the ABE property, located 225 kilometers northwest of Fort St. James In north central
British Columbia has returned very encouraging results.

George Sivertz, P.Geo., with White Wolf Exploration Ltd. Is the consulting geologist on the
project, Mr. Sivertz stated in his Geological Report dated October 23, 1998. "The geological,
geochemical and geophysical evidence assembled to date for the ABE property indicates that a copper-gold bearing alkalic porphyry system is
present in the central part of the property", This style of target Is very similar to .that of Imperial Metals' 90 m/t (0.513% Cu & 0.06 g/t Au)
Huckleberry Mine southwest of Smithers, BC.

The ABE Property hosts porphyry copper-gold mineralization with values of up to 4.47% copper and 59.5 g/t gold in surface samples. Previous
shallow drilling encountered low-grade copper-gold mineralization associated with extensive zones of propylitic, silica and clay alteration. This
style of alteration usually occurs as a halo around most economic porphyry deposits. The 1998 exploration program involved the completion of
earlier geophysical work and additional geological mapping with soil, silt and rock sampling. The (P and magnetic surveys outlined a large zone,
which coincides with the copper soil anomaly. Tills zone is approximately 3500 metres in length (NW-SE) and 1000 m wide at its widest point
and narrows to each end.

The soil geochemical work defined large copper and gold anomalies associated with volcanics and diorite. A copper anomaly (2.5 km x 1.2 km)
extends along a general NW-SE trend across the central part of the property. A strong gold anomaly (2.6 km x 600-800 m) follows a parallel trend
flanking the copper anomaly, suggesting a NW to SE copper to gold zoneation.

Starfield can earn a 60% interest in the ABE Property from Major General Resources Ltd. and the Hunter Exploration Group. A budget and work
program to include up to 3000 metres of diamond drilling is currently being reviewed by the Company. Glen Indra or Andrew Rockandel at; (604)
