First of all, I would like to clarify that I am not a DellHead, I am not defending this company just because it is DELL. I am an investor whose money is in DELL today but may be invested elsewhere tomorrow.

My earlier comments were that analysts have incredible power. They can at times make or break a stock and similarly can sway billions of dollars from the pockets of one to those of another. Because of this power that they hold they should weigh their comments responsibly.

I have nothing against analysts evaluating stocks as long as those evaluations are based on facts.

Otherwise whose to say that your stock will not be negatively affected just because the analyst did not GET IT the night before.

BTW, in response to your question the answer is YES. The analyst started this sell-off. If his evaluation was way off the mark then he should be held accoubtable!!!
