David,

Here is a possible Digital Me application for you guys out there.

Research Labs, Universities, Libraries in general, etc, are starting to buy electronic books and journals. They purchase from the publishers the right for their staff, graduate students, etc to have access to these publications directly from the publisher's sites. Say Academic Press sells Princeton Univ access to all Academic Press Computer Science Journals but not to their Medicine or Meteorology Journals, say. It is clear that DIGITAL ME would be the right tool to manage this system so that only authorized people would have the right to use specified material according to their specified privileges, from any location.

Thus it would make sense for all members of a given Institution to be given a DIGITAL ME identity which would control their privileges for these and other transactions. For example this could be a replacement of Student ID Cards in Colleges and Universities. There seems to be an immediate need for this thing!

NOVL already has a large presence in the Education arena.......
