Dear X
Bloomberg is saying what Rajiv and Steve have been saying. However one has to admit valuing UIHIA is difficult for the average investor, moreover a lot of the individual purchaces of UIHIA have been by traders who aren't realy that interested in the intrinsic value of what they buy, but rather attempt to understand the anticipated supply/demand of the security (eg analogies with MALL, DBCC etc).
Even if UPCOY falls back to the ipo price, UIHIA's piece of UPCOY will represent $61.7 per share of UIHIA. If you like UPC at the IPO, you should love UIHIA. Problem is not everyone understands. As such, here I sit as a value holder. Does it pay to make decisions that are out of favor with the crowd?? That's what value investing is. Admitedly value investing hasn't been in favor. Popularism seems to have been the trend of late. Anyway the TA approach to this one was no different than MALL and DBCC. Will this similarity continue and will UIHIA continue to fall as MALL and DBCC did? For reasons of the Bloomberg article I would think not.
