I am the wrong person to ask. I sucked my thumb until I was seventeen. My parents tried everything, but after they left, I put my thumb back in my mouth. They put on the bitter stuff, I sucked it off, and wiped it off on the blanket. I had braces, and I sucked my thumb while wearing braces. I quit sucking my thumb after I moved in with a guy, didn't want him to think I was immature.

I would say, don't worry about it, she'll stop when she stops.
