yeh but it's easy to be a critic. if ross were an internet commerce co. there would be no question about the top line vs. bottom line question. but i, for one, support their decisions to spend money on marketing / sales that may not pay back in the same q. they have to keep growing and they're doing a good job.

the real question is their cost structure. can they ever make real money as a standalone? i think they can but there certainly is an argument to be made that they would have a better cost structure as part o a larger org. i thknk they are down to their last year to make on their own. the next couple q's should be very good as they will get a bonus from y2k installations.
