There are so many people that unless one is a universal savior and has an obligation to care for them it is very hard to be concerned with more than a few. I'm sure about ones I love, and my students (whom I am forbidden to love), members of some groups to which I belong (hard to feel for professors, though). Strangers? Very few. Generalized unfocused love for strangers seems to me intrusive of their privacy. I do get annoyed when creep on Ask God caps a dispute by praying for me. They fail to see that if you knowingly pray for one you think evil (one who will be punshed anyway) that the authorities will go after you too.)
