JHG, I can't speak for you, but I am not a momentum investor. These are the things that distinguishes me from the momo guys:

1. I research the fundamentals of a company;
2. I am likely to buy when the price is going down;
3. I hold for long periods of time;
4. I sell when fundamentals deteriorate;
5. I pay no attention to chart patterns or RSI.

I don't think that Greenspan should intervene, but I sure think the SEC should.
