Thread,

Have been meaning to throw a question out. I've been recently looking into some apparel companies and retail apparel. In particular, have been looking at Polo Ralph Lauren (RL), Jones Apparel (JNY), Coldwater Creek (CWTR), Tommy Hilfigger (TOM), and Lands End (LE).

I recall that WEB had invested in the Gap at one point. I'm unsure if he still owns the position. Was wondering if anyone could comment on apparel and apparel retailers as potential Buffettology stocks, because I guess I don't understand Buffett's investment case for retail oriented companies. Does he treat them differently? The business environment doesn't seem to be as assured as some of his other investments.

Thanks for any comments.

Shane
